My friends are starting a band, and I have been put in charge of camera and editing facilities. So, Im looking for a program that would allow them to record their songs onto my computer, and for me to edit them into a cd. I have the microphones and components, just not any idea how/where to record them w/out software. Any ideas?

We have a Medion operating system installation cd with recovery on and apparently it is also on the hard drive. How do i find/use this.?
And how do we 'empty' the comp to enable us to start afresh in the first place?
This might sound a really stupid and thick question, but when it comes to the workings of a computer, my knowledge doesnt go any further than typing on the keyboard and MSN!
Please make any answers simple to understand and follow!! and I MEAN simple!

The xD picture card is a fujifilm H 512MB. The serial number is written on the back of the packaging you buy it in which was great until i threw it away by mistake. I have contacted fuji but they won't help.

Hi I've been looking for a cool wallpaper for quite some time now. For a little bit I had the ZMatrix background (for anyone that knows its the one where the little letters come down like the Matrix) but it's a major system hog. If anyone has just the regular animated .GIF of the Matrix that would be awesome.

Either way I really like changing my wallpaper every so often. So post your wallpaper or other wallpapers that you think are cool! I need some ideas! Thanks! (BTW I'm into video games, battles, Matrix, basketball, things like that) Any animated wallpapers would be cool also! Thanks!

I would try to play dvd's but everytime i put one in it just says I've put in a blank disk.
and when i try to play a game it does the same.

It has worked before but it just now stopped hiding. I tried turning it off and then back on and it hid for just one time and then it stopped working again. Please Help!!

Right click the desktop > Arrange Icons by > only check Align to Grid

i know i right click on my computer then press properties...but what catagory is it under? im still not understanding to find how much memory i have ....what catagory under properties do i see how much memory it only list me these options .....system restore, automatic updates, remote, general, coputername, hardware and advance .....which one do i see where how much memory i have ? thx:)

how do you sell stuff on e-bay
i was told that you can sell stuff on ebay and then spend the money you make in sales on other items in e-bay
as i dont have a credit card or visa electron i f i can do this it would be a good idea as ive got hundreds of p.c parts and other interesting brick-a brak that some one may want to buy
is it possible to use ebay this way or do i need a credit card

Americans call them 'notebooks' or 'portables', I believe. We, the British, call them 'laptops' !
I am travelling from the Britain to the USA to buy a notebook (laptop). I need to know the names of some quality/reputable american magazines published in the USA which review and test notebooks so I can make an informed choice of which model/brand to buy...

I just reinstalled Windows XP on my laptop and whenever I start my computer up, the resolution is set at the smallest level. I have gone through the properties setting through Display but it wont let me move the little tab. I got advice to fix my video card but I don't know where that is. any clues?

Ok so I found this charger in my house that plugs into a wall and on the other end of the cord it will fit into my Ipod (where the headphones go) I'm just wondering if it will work to charge my Ipod because its not designed to do so. If it will help this is what it says on the back. of the charger

So basicly I'm just wondering if it will work and is it safe because if there is any risk involed I don't what to brake my Ipod.

well those games are downloaded ones, in zip or rar format like GTA, carmageddon, etc..some of the games can be removed in the add/remove programs in the control panel. but some of them arent in the add/remove programs and they dont have an uninstall option too. should i just delete the folder? coz if you just deleted the folder or you uninstalled a program improperly, it would be left in the registry right? what should i do? or is deleting the folder the only way?

On mac, you can push f11 and the desktop shows.

I hear people whine about how hard computers are to use all the time. "How do you cut and paste?", "How come I dragged this icon over there but it didn't go there" etc. etc.

I remember the days of executing programs by command line. Memorizing DOS commands. Figuring out which IRQ or DMA conflict was causing XWing to crash. Extended memory, Expanded memory, 640K barrier, etc. etc. Now THAT was tough computing!

And I'm pretty sure those before me had it even harder!

when i leave my computer alone (without touching anything the screen turns off and i have to log on again, so how do i stop it doing this!!!!

Hi, my apple mac mini recently stopped working properly when i try to log on. I think the filevault image may be damaged as i get the message "You are unable to log onto the user account Jason at this time" Any ideas on how to fix it?

I have a logitech mouse.

I highlight a section of text, or move the slider with the mouse, and the highlighted section continues to follow the mouse or the page continues to scroll after I have taken my finger off the left button. I believe that it is a box that I checked somewhere, but forget where.
