i know i right click on my computer then press properties...but what catagory is it under? im still not understanding to find how much memory i have ....what catagory under properties do i see how much memory it only list me these options .....system restore, automatic updates, remote, general, coputername, hardware and advance .....which one do i see where how much memory i have ? thx:)

No, just right click My Computer and in the General Tab near the bottom it will tell you a number followed by "RAM" or "of RAM"

THAT'S how much memory you have.

There are several places that tell you how much memory your computer has. You can click My Computer (or Start, My Computer), right-click the drive you are interested in (D, C, whatever), click on Properties and it will tell you how much memory that drive had and how much is available.
Also, you can click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Disc Defragmenter (unless you have used it lately, in which case click Start and it will be on the left hand side of the pop up, under the line, indicating recently used programs). Click Disc Defragmenter and it will ask C: or D:. If you defragment a drive, it will tell you how much memory that drive has and a percentage of available memory.

Go to my computer, then right click on the c drive and click properties you get a pie chart thing that says how much space is left and how much you used up.

Angie is right

All the others will show how much disk space - that's not the same a memory

there are some free programs that can tell you how much memory you are using at anyone time as well

Open my computer and click your c drive and left click on that hard drive and click properties

Click 'My Computer'
Right click 'Drive C' and go to 'properties'
you'll see how much space you have left

go to MY COMPUTER right click LOCAL DISK C go to properties and it will tell you there
