Autohide will not work on my XP?

It has worked before but it just now stopped hiding. I tried turning it off and then back on and it hid for just one time and then it stopped working again. Please Help!!

it is the taskbar that will not autohide but I can still move it manually. It is getting annoying.

that happened to me once before and i forget which fixed it but heres what i tried:
1. turn it off and then on again and restart windows.
2. right click desktop>properties>themes save your current theme and load a different one, then after it loads, change back to your old one.

Try a reboot.
