I am giving a presentation and want to be able to read my notes on my laptop for each slide but not display them on my slideshow to the rest of the audience? Is there a way to do this?

Dare I say that the most secure way is to print them out? Having had many a sticky bun fight with laptops and svga overhead projectors, just getting the slides on the big screen is an achievement and all too easy to muck up which screen (laptop/svga) you are showing the audience. An advantage is that you can make amendments to your notes on paper as you go because, as you are probably only too aware, every audience will notice something different or have "that guy" in the back row who asks all the "awkward ones".

I'm not sure you can display anything on a projector that isn't seen on your screen.
What I do is print off the notes pages and have a hard copy. Might seem a bit outdate, but it also means you can walk around without having to constantly stare at a screen making it seem a bit more natural.

Simple, write them by hand or have two presentations, run the main presentation on a large screen and your person presentation on your laptop.
