I've got a BT home hub and now my computer speaker has acquired this buzzing sound; when I turn the hub of the noise goes away. I don't have wireless so what is the problem? BT are no help of course....Cheers x

Its an old Dell OptiPlex GX1 450MTbr+ that runs on windows 200 professional.

It has a 443,172 Kb total virtual memory and only 106,500 kb available. And 130,616 Kb of physical memory and only 3,888 available.

I don't really know what I need to make it faster

i had a blank disc and a dvd burner. I copy and pasted the dvd files on to the blank disc. Powerdvd is the only thing that reads the disc. I think the dvd players read this disc as a burned disc. Do I need to use a special software so it plays in my home dvd players.

I know ink for puters is rather spendy and I was thinking maybe it would be cheaper to make one copy and then go to a print shop and have them make copies. Maybe not color ?????? Anyone a print shop owner or know about this ? thanks

I will be out of my office for a while and would like to set up an email response so that when someone sends me an email my systems automatically sends them a personalized response where i can state that I will be out of the office for a certain time. All this is in Outlook. Thank you.

This perhaps works on the basis of voice recognition and I understand that feature is embedded in Win XP.

Can I use some other CD of Win XP, other than the CD by which Win XP was installed in my computer?

i like to download episodes i've missed on my favorite shows onto my computer...but is there a way to take the files (i think they're avi format - whatever that means) and put it onto a rewritable dvd AND play onto a dvd player?

After startup,a window pops up and states that I have no virtual memory.It gives instructions on how to fix this.After following instructions,the same happens upon restart.Can someone help me?

I am going to install Ubuntu Linux on my main computer but before i do i want to make sure i will be able to connect to the internet... I use a Linksys Wireless G usb adapter to connect to the internet and i would like to use it in Linux.

I don't know what to believe and it's not a matter of "hiding" something, just personal privacy.
Does my ISP (or others) keep track of my internet activity?
For example, do they know that I visit this site and ask this question?
I know that not much is personal anymore, but I think we all need a certain level of a personal life.

... i have a windows xp machine, and i need to edit the registry for my internet explorer... but everytime i try to run regedit.exe (or reged32.exe), an error box pops up saying that another program is already using that file, when clearly, i know that it's not open...
i already suspect that there might be a virus on my computer, and that could be causing this... but before i assume that, is there any other reason because of which i can't open the registry editor?
any help will be greatly appreciated.
