This perhaps works on the basis of voice recognition and I understand that feature is embedded in Win XP.

Can I use some other CD of Win XP, other than the CD by which Win XP was installed in my computer?

Please explain.

Generally it isn't an operating system function. Windows XP does not have it (not sure about Vista). It has been included in the last couple versions of Microsoft Office...I think Word XP (2002) was the first version to have it, 2003 has it and I am sure 2007 has it. It is a function of the Word Processing program...not Windows.

Go to Start - Settings - Control Panel, and then click on Speech. The microphone configuration and set-up utilities are in there. Good luck!
