would it be ligle to copy the files and make a setup cd from the files. note: it will be used on a computer that needs the windows 98 setup disk and it will only be used within one office building.

As long as the computer you need the setup disk for has its own valid license key, that's fine. Be aware, though, that if the setup cd files are from an OEM rather than a generic retail CD they might only work on that make or model.

Do not risk your companies reputation by using illegal software.

Why not install a reliable and up to date OS instead? Get UBUNTU. Once it's installed, you have access to over 5,000 free programs.

If the computer has 256MB of RAM get a full version. If less, get XUBUNTU
