mmm,the old home hub again,i bet bt are getting worried with all these bt home hub problems coming to yahoo answers
although the bt home hub looks a smart bit of kit,its actually a pretty low spec hub,i belive they are actually built in singapore for around £3 each, but dont quote me on that
the reason for the buzzing could well be your speakers, unless the speakers you are using are actively sheilded then when a wireless signal is transmitted you shall get a buzzing sound
there are 2 options open to you,1.replace your speakers with a pair that are sheilded or 2.if you are not using your wireless connection disable the wireless capability(ask bt about this,i know its in the hub manager and then advanced)or buy a good router modem such as a netgear or belkin
or simply move the speakers further from the hub,it could be just feedback from the speakers, very similar to what you get when you play a electric gutair near a amplifier
good luck

A home hub is wireless, whether you personally use wireless or not is besides the point.

It's probably sending out wireless signals which will interfere with your speaker.

The hub is transmitting radio frequency. Your computer is detecting it and mixed with computer Gigahertz frequencies, the beat frequencies are audible at the speaker. just move the hub further away or shield with foil.

Profile andrew w has got the idea...but for myself I use a high speed modem. I never accept home hub or wireless router from BT.COM.
