In any troubleshooting situation, look for the most obvious (and usually the simplest) possibility. In this case, it appears your computer worked adequately before moving it, and now warns you that it is low on memory. So you should ask yourself what might have changed due to that move. As someone else said, you may have jiggled one of the RAM sticks loose. First, open the case and assure all RAM sticks are securely in place. If this doesn't help, check all other connections, such as hard drive and CD cables, as well as AGP and PCI cards (although add-on cards are not directly related to RAM, they might be causing your computer to run badly enough to affect your RAM usage.

Again, if all this doesn't help, you might have damaged the RAM or other hardware in some way during the move (static charges or simply by rough handling). Even a malfunctioning hard drive will affect the amount of RAM available.

Did you also change internet providers? A new provider might not work as well with your computer as your old one. Although this doesn't explain why your CD isn't working correctly, we have to consider all possible causes for your sudden loss of performance.

If I had the computer here, the next thing I would do is check for spyware and viruses, and I'd prevent most programs from loading automatically during boot-up. But I think your problem is directly related to a problem with your RAM sticks.

First check your task manager to see what applications running or running in the background are sucking up all your memory.

If nothing weird is showing up or if nothing seems odd there, then you should do a virus/spy ware scan of your computer.

Finally you can run a simple memory optimizer utility that can be found on many download sites like tucows or cnet. Good Luck
