I have a burner that came with my computer and I would to burn some dvd's that I currently have. my question is two part.
1. what is the difference between dvd-r/dvd+rw?
2. what is the best dvd's to purchase for burning?

it will load windows almost all the way then i cant click on anything,i can in safe mode but not in normal start up.this pc was given to me so i dont have any soft ware for it.it is a hp compaq nc 4000.

I am planning on building my first ever PC. What I need to know is if this motherboard:

As you can tell Im a noob and I wasnt sure about this when I saw that the back of the case doesnt match the usb, PS2, VGA etc. connecters of the motherboard

Is that flace plate removeable and does the motherboard provide its own plate?

When a game or program is run on my PC, after a short amount of time a European siren-like sound is pruduced from the tower, NOT the speakers. It only stops after I exit out of the game or program. Occationally it will do it when a web site has been up for a while too.

I got a MacBook for Graduation last summer and now i'm in college and need to study over internet and audio lessons, but my speakers are ttly going crazy. its thinks i don't have speakers.. and its set to Digital Out-Put... it won't change. I've heard that Apple had to replace many other speakers in the Mac Book. Did anyone had the same problem? I don't know what to do

Ok, so i have an eMac, running tiger and i think i may have accidently hit a button or something, because everytime i click on a window it reads the title to me. And when i type messages in iChat it tells me every letter that i type. For example if i type "Hello" the computer says "H-E-L-L-O." how do i turn this off?

This error appears RIGHT after starting up, when the mouse point doesnt even come in yet, it shuts down and displays this message:
STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The Windows Logon Process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000139 (0x00000000 0x00000000).
The system has been shut down.
Before this error message: i modified the page file and virtual memory, i set my C:\ drive to no page file. and i think it asked that the pagefile.sys exists and if i wanted to overwrite it, i clicked yes and restarted and got this error message, i can get into safe mode just fine, please help!
