I got a MacBook for Graduation last summer and now i'm in college and need to study over internet and audio lessons, but my speakers are ttly going crazy. its thinks i don't have speakers.. and its set to Digital Out-Put... it won't change. I've heard that Apple had to replace many other speakers in the Mac Book. Did anyone had the same problem? I don't know what to do

Check your settings in Audio MIDI setup (Applications > Utilities), but if it says it's looking for Digital Out-put, it may be a hardware problem. The headphone output has a switch in it so it can toggle between headphones and built in...maybe its stuck.

Nope....did you try a headset to check if you have any sound? I suppose the volume is up enough...

Good luck
