What do you think of the price and the quality of their computers? Did you ever had a problem with them? If yes, were you satisfied with their customer service? Do you recommend gaming pcs from LU computers? Other comments and opinions might be helpful. Thank you.

I recently bought a new Maxtor IDE hard drive to use as a slave unit for "ghosting".
I set the jumper for slave use, and wired the unit to the slave connection on the IDE HD cable, but my comp. did not detect it. Thinking that the jumper may be set wrong, I altered it to the master setting, which I hoped would cause a conflict with my main hard drive, but my comp. still refused to detect it.
I have now disconnected the main hard drive, and have now installed the new unit as the master, but still my comp. refuses to recognise it, and says that no hard drive is present, although the hard drive is pwered up and "whirring" away quite happily.
Can any of you 'techies' give any light to what may be wrong??

I have a 160 GB Western Digital HD that I bought a while back. I just installed Partition Magic 8.0 and made two separate partitions, C: and E:. I set aside most of the space for the E: as it is my media drive. Looking at the drive properties, it says the following: Size MB: 132, 065.6 | Used MB: 131, 494.6 | Unused MB 571.0 | Status: None | Pri/Log: Logical. This partition lies within the Extended portion. My question is, why does it say that only 571.0 is unused when I've only used a fraction of that amount? Where did all my other space go??

Ok so I just upgraded my computer and I only have 1 IDE hookup on the motherboard and 4 IDE devices. Is there any way I can hook the other 2 devices up through the SATA ports via a converter or something? I really do not want to go buy new hard drives since I just sunk $1350 into the other parts. Oh and I don't have room for a PCI card.

I've watched shows on abc.com before with no problem. But now all of the sudden it's telling me I have low bandwidth (or whatever) and the the program won't run properly. It's choppy, freezes and sometimes shuts down all together. My computers new from christmas so I'd like to think it that it wouldn't be having this problem. But....it is! Help! :)

I had a problem with zombie malware turning my laptop into a spamming machine, so I tried to rescue the situation by formatting my PC.

First though, I tried creating a disk partition, and installed Windows 98 into the new primary partition. It wouldn't let me create one though (I tried everything - primary partitions, extended partitions, logical drive etc).

So, I tried to format my PC - but the DOS prompt wouldn't let me - it said that something else was using the C drive. When I tried to force close, it said that it couldn't lock the C drive and so couldn't format.

So, I gave up and turned my PC off. Now, however, when I try turning it on, I get an error message saying that my partition is invalid. I can't do anything at this point - it just stops the start-up process.

What can I do? I have a Toshiba Equium - I can't access the DOS prompt to format the disc and I can't get it to start-up to access the DOS prompt. All I can access is the start-up spec by pressing F2. Help!
