Ok so I just upgraded my computer and I only have 1 IDE hookup on the motherboard and 4 IDE devices. Is there any way I can hook the other 2 devices up through the SATA ports via a converter or something? I really do not want to go buy new hard drives since I just sunk $1350 into the other parts. Oh and I don't have room for a PCI card.

Yes, COMP-USA has a $19.99 converter that makes your IDE-PATA drives 'look' like a SATA drive. I saw it there the other day. They can then be connected to a standard SATA motherboard connector. It has a 40-pin IDE PATA connector on one side (to fit into the harddrive connector), it has a SATA connector (for the cable to the motherboard), and it also needs to have POWER so it has a 4-pin floppy-disk connector that you'll need to connect as well. (I think it comes with a power cable to to share the drive's own MOLEX power connector). No other complications. No other software, etc.

first of all, no your are literally not a finished fool. regardless of if if I were not the kind of magnificent guy i'd be particularly a d---. the following is the deal. in case you in effortless words have one (a million) cable, then it truly is maximum probable an information cable - with one end going to a port (usb) on your pc and the different end happening your converter container. that is because (not shouting) THE USB PORT ITSELF IS presenting skill TO THE CONVERTER container. in the different configuration you may have 2 cables. the first cable will seem a twin of the only above, i.e. USB cable, notwithstanding it does not grant skill. for this reason (not shouting) you may have A second CABLE THAT is going right into a WALL (120 VOLT) WITH the known 2 PRONGS. i desire this facilitates. Worst case, call the maufacturer.
