Hi,

I have trouble setting up my wireless router and adapters in my house. I have 3 computers running on wireless adapter and the name of the adapter is: D-Link DWL-G510 Wireless Adapter.
On all of the computers I get a low signal and sometimes it even disconnects from the network. I have like one or two walls from each adapter. I know that the routers is really good, but what adapter should I buy if I want high signal on all of my computers. I was thinking of the "D-Link DWL-G520M PCI Wireless 108G MIMO Desktop Adapter up to 108Mbps Data Rates 64/128-bit WEP WPA—Wi-Fi Protected Access (PSK)" adapter. Would that work good if both the router and the adapter would be the same type with the same technologies? Please help. Thank you very much.

However, things become normal again when the OS (Win XP) appears on screen. What could be the problem and how am i gonna fix it?

I have tried looking in the help manual for tips but it doesn't help much. I have a pretty crappy on board sound card, but an excellent outboard M-Audio sound card. I also just upgraded my RAM so I know it's not that.

Good day. I'm hearing about different types of RAM Chips like XDRAM, EDO Ram DDR1, DDR2 Etc. Which RAM Chip on the market now is the best and wud it fit on my laptop? Can anyone show me a site like a Table of all the RAMS showing the adv and disadv? thanks. Laterz!

I bought a mother-board ASUS P5-PE-VM, a CPU Celeron 2.66 (775) 331 ROI, together with DDR 256KM, HDD Samsung 40GB.

The computer works well but not stably. Its power source is sometimes suddenly cut off without any reason. Pls help. Thnks.

it'sloast it's CD Drive all of a sudden

it was connected to broadband internet a few months ago then all of a sudden it stopped loading CDs, the cd thing pops out and in but thats it

you go into my computer and the only thing there is Hard Drive and Floppy disk drives, no CD Drive.

I've tried a computer search

I've tried "Run" in the start menu

I've even tried control panel/add or remove programs/add through Cd or floppy but when I try and browse for the CD drive it's not there (again)

the hardrive in question is going into the internet within the next three days. is ther software I can downlaod FREE that will allow me to use the CD Drive?
or do you have any other bright ideas?

I don't want to have to take in to be repaired
the warantee is out and I'm broke

This would be the 2nd computer in the house, would I just have a router or would they set up another cable modem for this computer? I see on this computer they have a phone line connecting it and a special cable line going to the modem. Would I have to buy a 56k modem too?

We'd like to use Linksys cordless Internet Telephony Kits with Skype to keep in contact with our family. The phone is USB, Model CIT200. Does it have Mac drivers? I know Skype itself does, but we can't find them on the Linksys website. Anybody have experience with this particular internet phone and Macs? Thanks

I have a DVD burner that came with the computer.(HP). And so far it only burns select DVD blank, and I have all kinds of brands. Is there a way to make it works on all brands or what??? My burner can burn any format. included double layer.

My hard drive is supposed to be a 250 GB, but the computer only recognizes it as a 127. Is there anyway I can fix this, preferably without losing all my files? Also I would prefer to have a step by step, rather than a bunch of computer talk I don't understand.

While looking on Google for the specifications of the old Commodore Amiga A500+ comptuer, I found a site that had pictures of the computer and the motherbaord, and I noticed that on every different revision of the motherboard, it has "B52/ROCK LOBSTER" printed on it.

This being a name of a really.. um.. weird... song. B52s - Rock Lobster.

This song was written about 5 years before this computer was created.

Any ideas as to why this is?

or was it just advertising hype. Did it change you life?

For our younger viewers, a ZX80 was the first or one of the first mass market home computers and was sold in the sunday papers (if I recall correctly) as being able to make you a mental athlete. Hours were spent keying in programmes in basic to conver centigrade to meters or something like that whilst the owners thought they were at the leading edge of computing (which in some ways was true - in the mass market sense).

here's the thing, I have an 2 IDE DVD drives and one SATA Hard drive. frequently my system stalls while detecting the IDE drives. also, why is my hard drive listed as a channel 1 ide master? its not ide, its sata.

I have tried to make a copy of a home dvd, and I have used several programmes but they all will not burn the damn thing. I have also ripped it to my HD and tried to burn from there and yet it is still not working. I have a dell dimension 5000, I dont know whether it is the DVD Burner itself or me!

every time i shut down my comp. all the way i get the message
can't find os. so I go into setup (cmos) and my ata drive is set as the boot drive I switch them and save to cmos then it boots ok
(actually kinda slow) and goes right into windows. I can restart ok but not shut-down otherwise i have to go back into the setup screen everytime. (also another prob is the fresh formatted C-drive MFD keeps getting fragmented it's in 7 parts with 80% of the drive free after 2 wks.) please help if u can Thanks.

the keyboards plug into the back of the pc, its a round plug,( sorry for my crap description), and have tried keyboards in other pc's, after they ve been on mine, thats it, they are finished completely dead. and no there arent any batteries. hope this makes it a bit clearer,
