can u open the case of your comp? if so check the cables unplug it and then plug it again in exact same direction do not change the direction and one more thing u can do if u can check the bios and see weather your CD drive is enabled or not cause sometime this happens... if this does not work then u may ask again InshAllah this will solve your problem

Go to "device manager" and un-install the Cd drive, then reboot the computer. Right tic "My Computer" select "Manage" in the left pane select "Device Manager", then select your Cd/DVD from the list on the right pane, tic on the little + sign next to "DVD/CD-ROM Drives" and then right tic on the name of the device to be un-installed and un-install it. Then reboot (restart) your computer. If that doesn't work, you'll have to go into your BIOS to see if the drive is even listed there. If it's not in there, unplug the computer take the side panel off and start checking the connections to the offending drive. If everythings okay, you may have to replace the drive itself. If that is the case and your broke, start hitting garage sales, yard sales, etc. look for a used computer that has an optical drive that works, buy the computer for a couple of bucks, and strip the Cd drive out of it and use it in yours!

Either your cd drive took a dump or the connector is loose inside the case.
