Attach a wireless 802.11G router to the cable modem and then to the computer that the cable modem is attached to now, via an Ethernet cable. Then get a PCI wireless 802.11G adapter for your new computer, install the software first and then install the adapter. Behold, a wireless network in your home! The new computer can be placed almost anywhere in your home and share your internet service, HDD's and printers. Be sure to use a 128-bit WEP and Firewalls to protect your network from outside invaders. You can add more computers to your network as need be.

When you sign up for Road Runner they provide you with an external modem. It uses a USB or ethernet connection to go to you computer. So as long as you have a USB port or an ethernet card you are good.

properly when you consider that u replaced the mobo, ur gunna choose the recent mobo drivers(bios, chipset, lan, ethernet etc...) earlier u can connect with the web, stumble on a quite some computing device and bypass to the asus internet website and acquire the drivers onto a flash stress or some thing, then plug that into ur new computing device and installation each and each of the drivers, once u do this u must be good for destiny suggestion, the first component u do at the same time as u construct a clean computing device is installation the motherboard drivers, they are prolly the biggest ones, then video card drivers(if u have a million)

You could go in for a wireless router, instead.
However, before you do that, find out from your ISP if they can support it. Most of them can; but I don't know Roadrunner so, I'd advise asking them.
Cheers

you don't need another cable modem...one is enough...you need a router
as for the dial-up modem...it's up to you. you can add it and have it as a back up (if your broadband service goes down)...that's if you have a traditional landline only (not voip)
