I know agp and Pci-e are the better choice but id like to put a good Pci graphics card to the ultimate test,
World of Warfare, Medal of Honor Airborne, COD4 ect
My prossesor can handle it ive over 2+ gigs sdram 80 gig mem intel dual ect whats the best pci graphic cards i can
purchase within say £50 t0 £150

I have just bough a 500Gb external USB 2 drive, formatted it NTFS and ended up with only 465Gb useable space. Where has 35Gb gone and can some of it be reclaimed?Or is it the manufacturer (Maxtor) exaggerating the capacity?

1. Shutdown OS.
2. Remove current device.
3. Install new device using same slot and cables.
4. Go into BIOS and make appropriate change.
5. Boot up.
6. Install new device driver.

Is this right? Is there anything more I should know about?

i recenty bought a ATI radeon 256mb graphic card, i installed, updated everything from windows and ATI to 7.9.-----my computer is a compaq AMD Athlon XP sp2 which comes with the graphic card integrated, im having problems everytime i try lauching a game is says no Direct3d graphic card detected. has anyone had this problem? i even restored my computer to its original.

today i tried to put a cd in my laptop and it doesnt read it .and the light flashes and i can hear it trying to read it but its not and the housing above is cracked .and is it normal that you can push in your disk drive .someone please help

guy or gal tries to reconstruct what was on the hard drive what are the tools and methods used to do this? Is there something stronger than recovery applications? Like maybe knowing how to use assembly language?

It works sometimes, but not 100% of the time. If I put a blank rewritable CD in it, it will never read it, and it will make some sounds then it opens back and i have to push the CD back in. If I put in an original music CD, it does the same, but if i keep trying, it reads it eventually... Any help?

I have an iPod Shuffle i just got, and when i plugged the USB cord onto the port, i recieved a message saying that it was not plugged into a high speed USB port, and to click on the message box to see where my high speed port(s) was. Well, i clicked on the box, and it said "The hubs shown in bold type have free ports that can support the HI-SPEED USB device" and the bold type said"USB root hub (6 ports)" HUH? I am so lost, can someone please explaine to me what a "USB Root Hub" is? I don't even know what i'm looking for!

I just reformatted and reinstalled Windows XP Service Pack 1 on my 5 year old Dell Dimension 8200.

In the past before I reformatted, my computer had been USB 1.0, but I upgraded it by installing a USB 2.0 PCI card. The PCI card worked automatically without me having to install any drivers.

Now, since the reformat / reinstall, Windows is not recognizing the PCI card and says it needs drivers.

I have a VGA and USB Wallplate connection behind my TV and in other locations in the house. This is to allow me to use my PC (which is located in another room) as a monitor and home entertainment purposes throughout the house. The VGA is working no problems there but the USB is not. With no way of accessing the cable for the USB i know have to look at what is left which is the Cat 5 cable also at each point. I noticed that you can buy Cat 5 to USB extenders and i am wondering if they are any good.
