Would a NVIDIA GeForce4 MX440-8X work in my ddr 2 pc?
I have a 2.2 gz 1024 meg mem, it says it's a ddr sdram and my pc is a ddr 2

i read on a forum that using two different memory speeds can cause "lag spikes"
i have a 512mb kingston value(pc3200) and a 512mb kingston hyper(pc3200)
could this be causing the lag i am experiencing in some games?
i have a spare 256mb pc3200 module(kinston value),would the drop in memory be worth the sacrifice just to cure the lag in games
any ideas?

I have a MagicSpin DVD+RW/+R dual format rewritable drive. I have an Emachine model W3050, 1991 MHz AMD Sempron
+ (tm) 3000, ram 512 MB. The drive is an internal. My current cd drive doesn't burn and won't download some software.

I am looking for a specific hard drive enclosure. I really like the sleak appearance of the Vanec EZ Swap. Plus I want my hard drive to be using an empty 5.25" bay in my tower. ( http://www.vantecusa.com/p_mrk200st.html ). This is what I want though. I want to be able to take the Hard drive out of the tower and be able to use a firewire, usb etc. on any other computer that I take it to. Then, when I am finished, I can slide the hard drive back into my tower and lock it up. I can't find one that has the usb and firewire connections on the back after I take it out of the tower. I also want tit to have a digital display on the front. is there anything like this?

Hi, I have a wireless mouse keyboard combo from Logitech, the keyboard works great still, but the mouse will no linger work when replacing batteries. I know it a problem with the mouse alone, like the connectors, but I tried extending them, so it would make good contact, but that didnt work. Any other possible solutions to fixing the mouse?

If I successfully install Windows XP on an external hard drive on one machine, can I hook that external hard drive to another machine and run Windows XP on it from the external drive? Don't ask why I would do that.

Will a mini-usb to 3.5 mm headphone adapter work, or do i have to have some bluetooth headphones to work. I bought one of the adapters off ebay, but it wouldn't work. It transmitted a loud screechy sound when plugged in.

Do i still need to use a floppy disk to update my bios. i have the bios update. i just downloaded it to asus website. my mb model is a7v8x-x. i also have that eflash 2. is that right? but i dont know how to use it. I just want to update my bios because my pc always resets its clock speed everytime i shutdown. Even i properly shut it down. i also replaced its battery.

I had a situation. I took my computer in for some work and mistakenly took in the first Windows disc although Windows SE was installed on my computer and I also have that disc. In the process of fixing my problem they managed to install original Windows. I also seem to have 18 gigs of hard drive space gone now. I can get my hands on an upgrade to SE, my question is it worth the trouble for basic internet usage, and would a clean re-install of SE then restore my hard drive space to where it was before they installed the wrong disc? Thanks everyone.

I have a old ATI 9600 256mb... When I play Battlefield 1942, the graphics gets choopy or scratchy. I have a 1gig of ram, AMD Anthlon 1.1ghz and 500gigs harddrive. So is it just my card or do I have to upgrade something? Plus its stiall a XP home edtion.
