I am confused. I want to update my RAM, so I have looked at a few websites which tell me how to do it. Most tell me to touch the case the discharge my static, and some suggest an anti-static wristband- which do you suggest? They are also divided about whether the power(obviously off) should be plugged in or not, I don't know what to do.

I have asked this question before, and asking it again because it's urgent.
DVD drive is not showing up on the PC, not sure about bios? but it's not on the device manger, I have tried reloading all drivers, but as this DVD drive is not showing any it didn't help
I HAVE checked all the wires, and everything is in the right place and connected, i have tried system restore but nothing, running out of idea's help PLEASE

When I go to device manager display adapters is not there. When I go to diaxdiag, and go to display--everything is empty. This computer worked yesterday, but I had to reinstall windows xp, and it wiped everything out.

My pc's configuration is
AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3000+, 512MB DDR2 (Hynix) ram,NVIDIA GeForce 6200 TurboCache Graphics Card(256MB),ASUS A8NE motherboard
so now i want to play spiderman3, Flight Simulator X, NFS pro Street on my PC will increasing my ram to 1.5 GB give it enough power to help my play atleast these three games smoothly, with good(medium or average) graphics details turned on at 1024x768 resolution.
please reply after careful anlaysis of my configuration and ask if any more details are needed
views from experienced players are most welcome.
