Click on the speaker icon in the notification area (bottom right of your screen). Double click it and un-mute all.

If it does not work, search for a audio driver in google. If you have a mother-board CD, re-install the audio drivers and if it is old upgrade it from the driver web-site

Go to Control Panel and click on Sounds And Audio Devices, in the first section titled Volume, make sure the volume is on high. If that doesn't work, go to the task bar and look for the volume control icon there. Make sure all levels are up to the top of the panel. Also make sure the speakers are connected to the correct part of the back of the computer. Connecting to the wrong one, no sound, there are three jacks for this, the red one is for recording, it should have a microphone icon on it. The opthers should be blue and green. Also make sure AC plug for the speakers are plugged in to the outlet and they are on. Increase the volume with that control as well.
