Aren't integrated video good enough for the average person?

If you don't play games on the computer, why would you need a 256MB or 512MB video card?

If all you do is surf the web, and work with documents, there is no reason to upgrade.

if you are not working with Video or Graphics and you are not playing games or using your monitor to watch TV or DVDs then you have no NEED for anything more than the basic graphics card.

However, some people like the higher resolutions that you can get with the better cards because you can fit more on the screen (everything is really tiny so you need good eye sight LOL). I personally prefer 1280x1024 or larger if I can get it.

If you don't need a high powered video card, don't get one...it would be a waste of money. The reason you would need one is if you are playing newer games or doing high scale video/graphic editing.
