Can a CD/DVD burner from newegg also read Cd's andDVD's or is it just for burning purposes?

iv just installed it an everything...

just want to take some music from my CD, that i copied to my computer, that i now want on my phone...

my phone does support bluetooth by the way!

I have a 120 GB external hardrive which I have been using for about a year. Recently, an error message came up saying that The disc in drive F is not formatted. It no longer recognizes the drive, and it tells me I must format it. Is there any other way to get my computer to read the drive? It seems like that is the only option, and I'm not even sure its going to work. Help!

Ok I might get a new laptop...debating on weather i should spend the extra money (which i dont have) and get a 120gig or a much cheeper 40gig and just adding on an external hard drive that goes through the USB doing this woudl be alot cheeper...good idea or no, why?

I bought a SATA internal hard drive and it was the wrong one for my computer and now i cant bring it back so i figure I'll just make it into a external hard drive but i dont know how to do it.

And would like to know how to down load music and videos from my computer to my mobile, and visa versa? I have loaded the disk that came with the dongle and followed the instructions, but I am still baffled? Any ideas.

with importing and playing cd's in itunes. It imports what seems to be in record time, however when I go to play the tunes that apparently been imported it flicks through each and will not play any. I can make a cd via itunes so i'm confused. Why won't it allow me to add new music? Why won't it play the new music?

I don't have specs on this but I have a built in TV tuner on my PC and am running it through media center but my TV is laggy. I am not sure what is causing this. I did some reasearch and I heard that may be my resolution settings are too high? I have my modem and TV connected to this PC using a splitter, not sure if thats the problem?

What do you think? Anyhow know whats wrong or how to fix this? Can I run my TV through something else instead of media center?

I asked how I could put things on my E and F drive that are taking up necessary space on my C drive. Got a few answers, some helpful, some a little sarcastic, but that's okay.
Now I would like to know if I can unplug the C drive which is down to 164mbs of space, and plug the C drive in where the E/F partioned drive is, and vice versa, and keep everything I have, while still being able to add to the E/F partitioned drive.
My theory is if I just swap them, then all the things installed (webcam, printer, and Windows XP) will remian on there, while new and additional things could be put onto the E/F partitioned drive. Then, once I do this, I'll swap them back. I understand that I can get new bigger drives, but if I do that I will lose XP because it's installed on my current C drive, as is the webcam and printer, but they can be reinstalled. I CANNOT reinstall XP and I don't want to lose it. PLEASE remember, I don't know much at all about these machines, so simple answers is appreciated

I just bought a Sony DRX830U DVD writer (capable of burning DVDs and CDs). I have tried for 3 days and have not been able to burn one CD-R, although I have been able to burn 2 CD-RWs. I keep getting a "cannot perform end of track error." I have tried different brands of media, reduced the burning speed, uninstalled and re-installed Nero, upgraded the firmware, and checked the settings. The only thing the firmware upgrade did is that now my burner can't even detect when a CD-RW is in the drive - and I still can't burn a CD-R! I don't think I will bother trying DVD burning at this point.

What does the error message mean? Can I finally say that the burner is defective? My computer has the minimum requirements for the burner, so what could be the problem? I don't want to get another burner just to go through the same problems again.

I have been using a stationary optical mouse with a thumb controlled trac-ball for ages.

It has started to wear out so I went to buy a new one just before Christmas and all the stores tell me they are no longer being made....

Can you tell me where I can buy one, or at least why they are not being made anymore?

i have a geforce mx 4000 and i was wanting to know if the GeForce FX 5200 is much better.i only have PCI slots.i don't want to spend much $$ on my POS pc.i am running a 380w PSU and windows ME.one more thing does any one of the 2 cards have a way to monitor the temp of the GPU?last thing is there ANY software that will unlock the pipelines on the 4000 mx?if you answer any or all of this that will be great.
