it won't acknowledge the usb stick at all. I went into device manager and there is no universal series port tab there. What does this mean?
(ps I have tried the usb stick on a laptop and it worked fine, but the computer won't read any usb devices)

Was wondering, I am presently running a RAID 0 on my system running two WD Raptor Sata drives. Was wondering if anyone knows, seems a number of the stores around are not sure of the answer. But was wondering, if I'm running a RAID 0 on my system, can I buy say a 250gig Sata drive and just run it on one of the sata ports as a sata drive also? I have the Asus P5DW2 PRO Workstation Motherboard. Any iformation on this would be appreciated. Al

which is ment specifically for an external hard drive is not active yet and the usb ports arent active yet either. i know the firewire ports are active so i bought this external hard drive with the firewire option on it and connected it. I was already coming close to running outta room on the dvrs hard drive so i figured i would know if its working or not pretty soon. I recorded some shows and i was thinking ok it must be working cause i recorded a few one hour shows but then i tried recording another and the dreaded message poped up that said u have no more space left! so i would like to know if im doing something wrong or the firewire ports arent ment to support a hard drive or somebody else said that u have to install drivers with like a CDROM software there is no optical drive to do this. which makes sense if ur connecting it to a computer with firewire port and an optical drive then u would have no problem k thanks for any info! I own a 2004 Gateway desktop running Win XP multimedia. The external hard drive does not show up as a separate drive in "My Computer" and, of course, doesn't work. I don't know what kind of driver I need to download.
