Go to "Start" then "My Computer" then "View System Information" then "Hardware" then "Device Manager" and see the DVD/CDROM drive information. Then you'll need to look up that drive to find out if it can burn.

That easy. feel it. If your computer is cold there is no burner in it. Actually look at your CD. If it has a burner it will say so on the CD door under the word Compact Disc. It should say writer or rewritable. if it doesn't it may still have one but its so old that it probably writes at 2X and its not worthy of being called a burner.

There are many ways, but the easiest is to just look at the front of your DVD/CD drives!

If it's a burner, it will either say RW or Rewritable.

my old computer had a cd rom and another compact drive under (rewriteable). Now I have a Dell and there is a program that you go to to copy the cd and you burn it to a blank it depends if you have two cd roms or one
