I have two hard disks - 160GB & 40GB in my PC. Can anyone let me know the maximum number of partitions that I can make to these harddisks? And how to make the partitions?

In theory a partition could be a single GB so you could have up to 200 partitions (but in practice this wouldn't really be possible).

I think you can make 26 partitions because after that you wont have any alphabets left.
