Unfortunately my motherboard only has a AGP 8X slot...
and I do really want to upgrade my Graphic card.

I was looking at the Geforce 7800 GS
...which i believe it was the only AGP in the 7XXX series?
Not sure... but hell 7800 looks good to me.

these 4 manufacturers are which I found to have 7800 GS.
BFG.. which is the cheapest and has an OC (around $200)
XFX, eVGA, and PNY are all around $300.

1. Which manufacturer would you recommend for the Geforce 7800 GS?
I dont OC or anything.. just use it as is.

2. Why is BFG so cheaper than the other ones?
wouldn't a OC graphic card be faster than a normal card?

3. Should I wait some more?
I know that from now on.. all the good graphic cards are going to come with the PCI-E...
But really don't need an extra motherboard and a CPU right now.
Any chance the Geforce 7800 GS will have a price drop in few weeks?
I'm just assuming that price will remain around the same cause its the only powerful card with AGP..
Thanks

Any motherboard experts have an opinion on which of these 2 motherboards may be best suited for PC gaming and Video editing specifically. ( or possibly another board )
#1 is
Intel D975XBXLKR & C2D E6600
Intel D975XBXLKR Intel Socket 775 ATX Motherboard and an Intel Core 2 Duo E6600, 2.40GHz Processor supports 4 DIMM sockets using Dual Channel 240-pin DDR2 with a total capacity of up to 4GB. You can install DDR2 533/667MHz Memory. .

OR

MSI 975X Platinum & Core 2 Duo E6600
MSI 975X Platinum Intel Socket 775 ATX Motherboard and an Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.40GHz Processor.
This high-end ATX mobo supports Dual channel DDR2 533/667/888 memory interface up to 8GB, as well as dual PCI Express 16X with either 1x16 or 2x8 operation.

Both are about 650.00, so I am more concerned about the performanace for games/video.

while reading a article in wikipedia about the geforce 6200 i found out that they are actually geforce 6600,s that have been under modified and there is actually a fix that can return the 6200 to the build of a 6600
is this true,i could well believe it as most cards such as the low end 7 series cards are normally the 7900,s that didnt make the grade
has anyone heard of this?

When I have my USB Memory stick attached and try to access the Web, I get the 'Page cannot be displayed etc message, When I remove the Stick and try again, no problem. Any Idea what this could be? I thought it might be some conflict between the USB modem and the stick any ideas?

Core 2 duo 6600; 2 gb memory;
Video cards are hard to learn about - lots of em out there, and constantly changing. Haven't found a site that lays them all out and ranks them in terms of power and performance. I am under the impression that the 7900 GS is a decent mid range card. What could I upgrade to that would give me a value added performance boost (increase power for a reasonable price). Thanks for your opinions.

I plan to convert my VHS's to DVD's. The system requirement indicated on the software box demands a USB 2.0 Host Contoller. Can I simply buy and install a PCI 2.0 card adapter? And will my 4-year-old PC run at 480 mbps?

Ive just tried to install a webcam and a message came up saying that it couldn't detect a working USB port.
A few weeks ago I tried to set up a Bluetooth connection between my pc and mobile but the dongle wasn't working, I thought it was broken and have ordered a new one but it was obviously that the USB ports on the back of my computer aren't working.
Does it have to be repaired by a pro or is there something I can do myself?

Thankyou.

Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly. HEELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPp
