Why won't my computer detect my usb cable? If anyone can help, im me at alohasunshine96826 (yahoo im).

I have the software installed for a Nokia 6680, a motorola CRZR and a Navman Satallite navigation system. When I connect any one of them to the computer the software says that there is no device connected. I have 4 usb ports on my computer 2 of which are used by the modem and keyboard and they work fine. When I connect my mobile devices to these USB ports they don't work.
The computer makes a sound indicating that it's detected the device but the devices software says there's no devices connected. I've already tried re-installing the software loads of times. I really need help on this issue. I've tried everything to try and get it to work.
Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks in advance.

I read a forum and it had a guy on there with a problem like mine. I want to set my computer to stock settings so I can run my new Nvidia card. Is this in the BIOS? Please help!!!

I backup my Avi files from my External Drive to DVD. Although the target Max burn speed that the software detects is 8X, the actual burn rate is always between 3.1-3.5X. It takes about 35 mins to burn a DVD. Is my PC the bottleneck? What are ways to improve this if you don't think my PC is the bottleneck?
I have another burner (nonSony) and it's burning the same slow rate. Please help.

DVD Burner: Sony DRU-120C Burn Rate 16X both +- DVD Disk
DVD Disk: Verbatim tried both + and - 8X and 16X
PC: Pentium 3: 800 Mhz (I know it's old)
Software: Roxio Creator 8

Shouldn't a 1 GB thumb/flash drive hold more than 155 photos? I bought 3 of these and the most they hold is about 150-160 photos. I was told they'd hold about 500 to 1000 pictures each. I have so many pictures to save from my 'dying' computer ...They are PNY brands. Thanks!

drive 1 is 180gb sata. drive 2 is 400gb sata. drive 1 had a crash and i recovered. however there is data that i can access from before the crash, but i cannot remove it. i want to reformat the drive to be for just the xp and programs. can i preserve my settings and programs without having to reinstall everything? would it be easier to just transfer important data to drive 2 and keep drive one the way it is?

i have dell dimesion 500 with windows xp it has 512mb ram a 3.00GHz cpu, 3d card is RADEON X300 series i think its a 64mb card, im not sure what other stuff i should mention this is all that i know of that has anything to do with poerformance.
what should i upgrade to make games run faster and make my pc run faster when im just doing normal stuff on it?
like when i play games with the model details set to high they look great but the game loads very slowly and when there is a lot of explosions and a lot of effects happening in te game is starts to lag very bad. i also have a high ping in online games but i have a 2mb broadband connection so it must be my pc. ill be pleased with any advice

Hello. I recently put a new graphics card into my PC a XFX7600GT XXX edition. I was wondering what other upgrade should I put in, a new processor, (a jump from 2.8ghz to 3.2), another stick of DDR400 RAM, or a new sound card? Which would offer the best boost in performance? They all cost more or less $100.

Current Specs are

1 Gig DDR400 RAM
7600GT XXX Edition
