Neither, both are overpriced, and both use a poor chipset. Buy the processor and the motherboard seperately. Here is a good motherboard for the Core 2 Duo:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131070 and here is the processor:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819115003

Motherboards using the same chipset really doesn't make much difference at all (maybe 1-2 fps). The price for the E6600 is overpriced. the E6300 or E6400 would do just as well in games for less. The extra money saved getting these models should be spend on the video card (the most important part for gaming). There are also motherboards that support 2x16 pci-e slots. These dual video motherboards are good for very high resolutions like 2048 by 1600. Memory is starting to get to the average 2gb for a machine. Vista will need 2gb recommended. 4gb is perfect for now. Some games can actually use 4gb of memory. Just goto www.tomshardware.com for reviews and benchmarks for motherboards, cpus, and video cards.
