Have you uninstalled the Logitech driver in Device Manager? Most of the time Windoze will recognize the hardware on it,s own.Reboot the computer and see what happens. Other than that, try using a 'known good' mouse and narrow down and isolate the issue.

Try repositioning the device that the mouse communicates with..the little thing you plug into the computer. Sometimes you have to hit a button on it to have it communicate with the mouse, and if something is blocking or in the way, the mouse can't send info back to the transmitter.

Same thing happened to me - had to press the little button underneath it to get it talking to the mains again - it can be quite frustrating but don't give up - you may have to re-install software but hopefully you can get it back by re-setting the buttons on base. Good luck!

there should be a connect button under the mouse that you should press to get it to work. try pressing that. also try fixing the source it's connected to. for example, if its' source is a usb plugin, try tightening it on to the pc. and then connect
