I'm back again,I bought the X1650 PRO from OC UK.And i got 1048MB of RAM off of ebay.I got the G' card the day after I got it,I got the RAM to work with the old 512MB RAM so I now have 1560MB of RAM.We got a free game as well Dungeon Siege. No problems at all with the Card or the RAM.However the performance is not what I had hoped for. Flight Simulator 2004/X was not any better before th RAM arrived.I assumed that the card was putting too much pressure on the hard drive. The RAM eventually did arrive and did help, at least a bit! It doesn't make any sense why the computer appears to be worse than with the Radeon 9600XT.I've spent £144 to get the computer to this stage.I can't put the old card back in because the 9600XT has been given away and the other 9600 is just as bad.(I've had the RAM and G' Card for two weeks now).Tonight I had a problem with the Motherboard.I thought that there was a problem with the M'board.I footerd with the BIOS and i've done everything do i need a new M'board?

My husband and I bought a new compaq presario(tower only) with xp and already has only a cd-writer in it. It does have an Expansion Bay right below the Cd-Writer so that is why I assume that means we can take our old cd-dvd player out of our old tower and put it in this new one. Our old tower was a NEC but the cd-dvd player didn't orginally come with it...the original Nec tower had a problem and and the new cd rom dvd player was installed by another computer company that we hired to try to fix the tower at that time. We still kept the old tower to see if another family member wanted it for their system but they didn't so does anyone know how I can remove it from the old tower and install it in this new tower?

I have installed a second hard drive in my new computer. It is the HD from my old computer and is exactly the same. Model numbers, size, everything is identical. I have installed it and did an fdisk to wipe it and then partition it to receive Linux as a dual boot system. Linux system loaded faulty and I want to wipe it and try again but I can not figure out how to access the second hd because it does not show up as an individual drive. Help

I need to replace my DVD drive, it is not reading my discs and I have tried everything to fix it.
So, I need to know what is better to buy. I want a DVD-rw/CD-RW Combo Burner. I like this Sony external drive that I found for $79.00 but it takes 10GB HD space to run. I am not sure if that is alot more than most or not. If there are any other brands that are better or if internal is better I would like tou know what everyone thinks. Thank you. A price level below $120.00 would be helpful.
