I bought the headset to use with Skype (it is Skype compatible) and am running Windows XP. The headphones work fine but the microphone will not record. The computer recognised I had plugged the microphone into the pink jack, shows an icon for it on "Sounds and Audio Devices Properties", lets me alter the Volume but the Advanced Audio Properties are not enabled (ie are pale and cannot be clicked on) therefore I cannot follow the Help offered on this subject by Skype. Any ideas appreciated.

I currently have a pentium 4 processor. I know that I can buy a core 2 duo processor at Best Buy. I want to know if I can take out my current processor and put it in its place. (or do i need a new motherboard and all that other hardware to do that). Thanks.....

i was looking at a 1 BFG7900gt ($289) then starterd thinking about getting 2 XFX 7600gx XXX ($109) and SLI them. would 2 of the XFX cards SLI'ed work better and be faster then 1 BGF7900gt.

I know that you can add RAM to your PC but need to know how ... someone told me that you could just add more RAM cards and that would work. Like I have 128mb of RAM and I could add more 128mb RAM cards to equal up to however much I wanted. I don't know if that is true or not ... so can you do that? Also, how do you actually add it to the PC?

My broadband internet connection network is up and running fine. My USB adaptors were working fine, also, until suddenly they stopped working. They were disabled and my computers were no longer capable of recognizing them. I think I have to change me settings or some sort, but I have no idea how to work this. I've been working on this the entire day... and it seems no one from any of the companies want to offer sincere are valuable help. Thank you for any help you make available to me.

The TV tuner that I have now will only detect the channels on cable and cannot detect satellite channels, thus I cannot use my computer as a true DVR. Is there a certain kind of TV tuner that I have to get that will recognize the channels on satellite or am I out of luck?

have plugged my external harddisk into my laptop, and windows ME has installed it automactically, saying the the new device is ready fo use, blah blah blah. i can even locate it in the "safely remove device" section. BUT the icon is not in "my computer" and i carn save anything in it!!
