I bought the headset to use with Skype (it is Skype compatible) and am running Windows XP. The headphones work fine but the microphone will not record. The computer recognised I had plugged the microphone into the pink jack, shows an icon for it on "Sounds and Audio Devices Properties", lets me alter the Volume but the Advanced Audio Properties are not enabled (ie are pale and cannot be clicked on) therefore I cannot follow the Help offered on this subject by Skype. Any ideas appreciated.

Check your media player settings, if they are set to mute this will affect it. It certainly did mine.

That funds is somewhat low. you will get what you pay for at that cost, no longer a lot, and if the sport advantages from audio cues you would be at a draw back. anyhow the least worst are important manufacturers like logitech or plantronics, yet at that cost you're transforming into low end skype/chat sound, no longer gaming sound.
