I not sure what you want, but, you may try Directron.com. Usually Newegg beat them, unless it a sale item. If, the link work it get you going.

Fry's Electronics (NOT THE GROCERY STORE!) has tons of processors available. A socket 478 generally accepts a "Northwood" P4 chip, and those are no longer manufactured. They were replaced by the Pentium 4 500 series...

However, they did make 3.2GHz and higher northwoods!

There are no "GOOD" CPUs for the 478 socket. Even back in the day when they were en vogue, they were crushed by the AMD socket 939 CPUs with their Athlon 64 architecture. Don't waste your time.

Here's a list of a few companies selling cpus for the 478 socket.

Note: ebay is the WORSE place to try to buy anything. As you will notice the prices are ALWAYS higher than what you get it in a normal retail store (closing price).

Depends on what type 478 you want you can get a good deal on ebay. I have a socket 478 3.6Ghz w/HT....But your mobo has to support HT (Hyper Threading)....
