i have a gateway computer i bought the cable and conect it, but nothing happend waht i am doing wrong

pick put your remote, press the button marked AV, it might scroll through scart1 , scart2, keep going till it says Pc output or input.. or until your pc desktop appears on your screen.. there also might be a button marked input or output. one of these will work.
