I have downloaded what I thought were the correct drivers from Creative's website, but when I run the install wizard it says that it needs an "inf" file that is not unpacked with the download. Any suggestions?

Since you already have the drivers on your system, there is a fairly easy way to do this.

Power down and open the case up. Remove the sound card, leave the case open and power up again. This will configure the machine without the card.

Power down, insert the card again, and power up. Windows should recognize the card *** "new" and install it automatically for you. If it does, powerdown, close up the case, and you are all set!

the best thing would be to go to the soundblaster support website and download the driver. it should have a .exe file that will do the rest.
