I have installed a second hard drive in my new computer. It is the HD from my old computer and is exactly the same. Model numbers, size, everything is identical. I have installed it and did an fdisk to wipe it and then partition it to receive Linux as a dual boot system. Linux system loaded faulty and I want to wipe it and try again but I can not figure out how to access the second hd because it does not show up as an individual drive. Help

You have probably formatted the second drive as something that Windows doesn't recognise (perhaps reiserfs). You need to use a partition utility of some sort to reformat it as something Windows will be happy with, like fat32 or ntfs.

Use a Linux LiveCD like Mepis or Debian.

Press DEL as soon as you switch on the computer.
bios settings select auto detect Hard drives.
Before that remove the hard disk and make it as slave.
by changing the link. The details should be availble on the hard disk itself.

Rename one of them.
Go to My computer, right click the desired drive and rename it.
