To add to the other options, if it's a name brand server hardware, such as Compaq (now HP) or IBM or Dell, they always ship with hardware configuration tools that allow you to dynamically expand the drive, provided you have unused space on the physical drive(s).

I know I've used partition magic to do it on a W2k workstation, and I was pretty sure it would work with server (it doesn't know if you boot to DOS or whatever with a floppy). I used version 8, which can handle NTFS without issue.
Good luck!

Is there space on the hard drive that the C: partition is on?
If there is unused space, you can use ServerMagic, other partitioniing tools won't run on 2000 server, even though they don't run on the server, the software won't let you change partition sizes if it is a server OS that is on the disk, probably for liability reasons.
Track down an old copy of servermagic.
You can also mount a new hard drive as a folder on the C drive.
Or, get a bigger hard disk and use norton ghost to copy the drive to the bigger hard drive, it will copy the partition to the new hard drive, and make it the biggest possible, or you can specify the new partition size. Good luck!

C being the OS drive? I recall Partition Magic can create a boot floppy and reboot into DOS on floppy, done it before.

Win2k or 2003 has the option of mounting a drive in subdirectory hierarchy like how UNIX could've done it, there may even be a relatively unknown program of merging drive-file system like there is one for Linux; increase space that way.

No. Partition Magic can no longer advance the gap you've. it would want to easily reorganizes your area. per chance your taking into consideration "Double area" a Microsoft software to double the gap on a puzzling diskpersistent. it truly is a "very last Century" idea no longer mandatory now with the fee of cutting-part severe means puzzling disk Drives (HDD) being so low priced.

ya man u can do it but it's quite risky and it requires a proffesional to do it safely if ur a noob at partition magic than dont even try it..ull crach ur operating system!
but neverthe less it is possible and it depends quite a lot on the nature of ur partitioning.
