Couldn't have said it any better.... the BFG9000 was also on Quake 3 Arena (i'm surgical with the rail gun)..
but yes, BFG stands for Big F***in Gun!

Well that's rather broad question, here is a list from Wikipedia of alot of things that BFG could stand for:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BFG but since this is the computer section, I am guessing you are referring to the company BFG who manufactures graphcis cards.
