My desktop has 512 MB of RAM and my laptop has 248 MB of RAM. Can I put my Desktop's in my Laptop? My laptop runs really slow. My Desktop is an eMachines T2895 and my Laptop is an Acer TravelMate 2420.

My new computer came with no AGP slot but does have an open PCI slot my old graphics card is much better than the integrated graphics that came with my new machine. My graphics card is an ATI Radeon 9200 agp card is there some form of agp to pci slot adapter? Thanks for the help.

Company gives no explanation or name for the small packet . It has only 3 or 4 very small and thin metal stips.
The company should have given an explanation. Thay should have told.

i heard that if the two sticks of 512 differ in speed..then the computer will choose the stick with a lesser speed. so since my current 512 is PC2700 DDR 333 MHz..will it still be compatible with PC3200 400 MHz even speeds are different? because i also heard PC3200 is backwards compatible with PC2700..but i really want to make sure before i buy..thanks in advance : )

I'm on a tight budget and decided to replace my old Nvidia Geforce 2 MX 400 card to a new video card that can support Direct X 9. I have set my eyes on either an Nvidia Geforce FX 5200 or an ATi Radeon 9550. I have read that the ATi Radeon 9550 completely supports DX9 due to an agreement with Microsoft, unlike the Geforce FX series. I also read pros and cons about the two video cards. Which card is more preferable, considering the issues, the two cards have presented to current users of those cards, and performance-wise?

I have a old computer that I got outta a car garage and there is not marking to what kind of hardware it has in it or even what brand of computer it is. NO WHERE!!! IVE LOOKED EVERYWHERE so dont tell me to look again please. All basically know is that it runs Windows 98... PLEASE HELP.... In my Compaq Presario i have an Asus mobo with a weak 250 watt power supply. I Bought a new power supply for my new graphics card. My mobo has a 24 pin connector on it but the current power supply only has 20 pins. My new one has 24, so can i hook all 24 up or do i have to keep it at 20?

I have 3 SCSI hard drives from a Microsoft Windows 2003 server with lots of important information on them but no SCSI adaptable computer/server to extract the data. Should i buy a SCSI controller and connect the drives through my desktop on a SCSI controller or will gay windows want to reformat before even trying to read my data? Hello! everyone, i will be buying this video card used and it has two notches at the terminal of the card, instead of having one notch at the terminal like most pci cards, i ask the guy that selling it, if he knew if it was for a PCI slot or AGP slot and he didn't know, Does some PCI video cards have two notches at the terminal? I have a Sony VAIO DVD writer model # PCGA-DDRW1. It has an external power adapter. I want to connect this to my TV to watch DVD movies without a PC. I know I can connect to TV by using a TV tuner card in PC but I want to eliminate the PC in this situation.

ok so right now i have a asrock k7vm4 motherboard in my tower i want to upgrade the board to something else but i have questions before i do that:
