Ok first you must check either your hard disk format is Fat and not NTFS. And also have you installed the software for the device?
Or maybe you have installed software typically anti virus software that sometime could cause your system to freeze sometime that you must uninstalled it and install back again..Check the connection is it ok, have you tested on other device?
Well that's all I know good luck!!!
(psssst... I have ever experince technical problem that takes about more than 6 hours to solve...)

the bluetooth dongle comes with a cd. first install the cd and then irestart the computer if needed. then insert the bluetooth dongle. this way, it will be a more proper step. if it does not work, u can try searching for a more updated version of the software which is same as the CD software brand. however if it still the same problem , maybe the Bluetooth dongle is faulty. you can try it on another PC. If the problem exists truly then maybe you will need to get a change in the bluetooth dongle.

I've never heard of a Blue Tooth Dongle... I know what they are, but I've only seen corded ones. You can try microsoft's website or bluetooth's website...

It came with an instalation disk (mine did), all you do is run that and then plug it into your USB port. After that it should work okay

@Lexie: Corded bluetooth dongles? wtf... Bluetooth is a /wireless/ technology lol... they are /never/ corded.
You should have a cd delivered with it... if not you should pay a visit to the website of the manufacturer
