Hey all,

I have a 60GB hard drive and a 200GB hard drive in my desktop computer and my 60GB is full so I bought a 250GB hard drive to replace it. When I install the 250GB hard drive, the computer won't start up but if I put the 60GB hard drive back in than it will start.

I thought the way around this was with an external hard drive case so I bought that and installed my hard drive but now the power won't start. I have narrowed it down to a power problem because when I unplug the power to the hard drive, the external case lights up but as soon as I plug the power into the hard drive, it automatically shuts down like it's short circuited.

Is this a faulty hard drive or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance. Cheers

It is working fine otherwise and I have a nec 15inch lcd monitor - i used a new driver for teh card as well, but I can't go any higher. I know the card is rated for more. Also my monitor says it is best for 1024x768 as well. Planning on getting a new monitor, but I'd like to know if that is the problem first! Thanks! running xp on pentium 4 2ghz processor

I’m do a lot with computer graphics/graphic design. I need a computer that moves graphics fast. Which computer is better for me and why? Please give your source.

1. The desktop PC with a faster processor (Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q6600), but a mid-range video card (Radeon HD 2400 XT, 12.8 GB/sec).

OR

2. The desktop PC with a slower processor (Intel Pentium 4, 2.40 GHz), but a high-range video card (GeForce 8600 GT, 22.4 GB/sec)

HI, I want to upgrade my computer for FS2004 and I want to know if a 3.0-3.6ghz Pentium 4 processor with hyper threading, 1gb ram and a XFX Geforce 6600gt will handle Microsoft flight Sim 2004 on higher graphics settings with smooth gameplay? Should I even bother trying FSX because I have heard it has very bad FPS even on $3000+ systems.

I bought a $500 Acer computer package from Wal-Mart.

The LCD widescreen monitor (LCD 17" AL1702WVB 8MS 500:1 MPRII) that came with it was sent back because it had a green line, 1 pixel wide, running from the top, to the bottom of the screen.

Today I get a package from Acer. It is a completely new monitor. This one however is noT the same. It is not widescreen. It is a LCD 17" AL1717 FPDB 5MS 700:1 VGA & DVI MM TCO03. Note, the item # says "700:1" and the box says "800:1"

This new monitor does have some nicer specs obviously but I did like the widescreen. Also, this one has internal speaks, which is cool but the sound quality is kind of poor.

Should I call and complain? Should I stick with what I have?

I just bought a Hannspree New York 19" monitor and I've noticed that some lines of text are blurry; when I scroll up and down the blur moves to the next line.

I'm using a VGA cable at the moment (I intend to buy a DVI cable on the weekend) but I didn't have this problem on my old 15" monitor. Or could it be a problem with my NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE graphics card?

I have a 27" lcd monitor/tv that was struck by lightning. The only signal that seems to be affected is the vga input. All other opearations seem to work OK. I believe I can hook up a cable that has vga/dvi on one end and hdmi on the other, or at least vga to component video? Any suggestions?
