Thats what it said on may Acer TravelMate 2420 sersies.
I just got a new external hard drive, but it have been working fine for about 3 days, not it says operating system not found!
Dont tell me crap about te BIOS or crap, cuz i dont know what it is, if that my only solution, tell me like your telling a grade 1 in computer tech.
Also, my rebooting disks dont work, i try and put them in, and it goes through the process, it says its restoring back to store defaults, but when it gets to the end, it jsut tells me to put in disk one again, then it does everything all over
PLEASE HELP ME, I CANT AFFORD A NEW COMPUTER

Take it back to whoever put you hard drive in. OR drop it out a third story window.

Is there something wrong with the internal hard drive? It sounds like the external hard drive is bad. I would try taking it back and exchanging it. If that doesn't work I don't know what to tell you, other than to find someone that can look at it for you. It's easier to tell what's going on when you can actually see what it is doing.

Let's make it easy for ya!

Any data that you didn't backed up, is lost, so why not try to restore your PC to your Factory Specs?!

If your don't have the restore disk or the OS disc, you will have to buy a new one, but at least is better that buying a new PC!

Based on your level of expertise, pay to have a certified technician fix it for you.

Simple enough??? And, you may want to lose the "attitude".
