WHICH ONE DO YOU PREFER AND WHY???

Hello,
I read on the internet and on here some of the answers, about using Acronis to do this.

but. im still not sure about how to do it.
I have 28GB that I need to move to the second hard drive, and I need it to stay untouched, as in programs, files, everything AS IS, registry and all.

so what if I create a 28GB image, that wouldn't really help me would it?...

can I do this:
1) create the 28GB image
2) connect the 2nd hard drive
3) install the 28GB image to the second hard drive using WinXP from the first hard drive (this should also take the registry with it right?)
4) remove the first hard drive and boot from second.

I upgraded the bios on my dell 4700c from A02 to latest version A07 and now I'm getting a Incompatible Processor Detected error and the system does not boot. Is there a way to downgrade the bios?


As soon as the computer is turned on the Incompatible Processor Detected error screen comes up and does not give me a chance to boot into the bios.

The cpu is a P4 - 3.4GHZ

Hey, I would like some good information on starting to build my own PC. It seems like the best way to go. Where can I find a good 'barebones' system, and where can I find all the other materials for pretty cheap? Is FRYS electronics a good place to go?

I installed8600 gt to my acerast180,workedgreatall daywithseveral bootups.Then hardwaredevice kickedon then toldme to restart.After that the power button has no light & only lthe fans work.Was I suppost do anything in the bios to make it work?I also installed 585w psu 3weeks ago and it was working well.I also disabled intergrated before I installed the card.I got a black sceen with no signal.What happened?? Work good all day untill hard ware dive kicked on then asked me to restart.Thankyou for your time.

reinstall windows all over again but, by accident I installed windows on the wrong drive by accident. Drive H has too little space, so now windows can't update properly cause of that, Is there a way I can put windows on drive C without going through the whole process of reformatting again?

Bought an mp3 philips player today, conected to do sync, it looked fine, then i ''upgraded firmware'' as in was directed in the setup leaflet, the mp3 wrote ''upgrading firmware'' then my setup said i unplug it from the pc to complete, i did that, and then nothing, just blank and dead, the device is no longer recognised by windows

i tried to delete/reinstall usb drivers, reboot, nothing..

i connected the cable to another usb device, a card reader, and that works fine!

where is the problem? is it in windows or in the device, it doesnt appear to be in the cable:/

On Tuesday my yahoo mail would not let me compose an email it kept saying something about add ons and that adobe flash was messing things up....or something..... So I clicked on the "add ons" box that popped up and disabled the adobe flash. Well now I can not view slideshows on websites. I guess I need to go back into that add ons box and enable the adobe flash but I dont know how to find that box because before it just popped up because there was a problem.

The goal is to have every TV in my house functioning as a remote monitor for my desktop system. I have bluetooth wireless keyboard/mouse to operate the desktop from any location, so know the task is figuring out the best way to connect each TV. I am running two 20" Gateway desktop monitors, a 37 inch Olevia LCD, a 42" Panasonic Plasma and a 52" Samsung LCD. The 2 gateways and the Olevia are in my home office, the 42" across the hall in my master bedroom and the 52" is in the lower level family room directly beneath my office. How should I go about making this happen? The CPU system was the best HP desktop you could buy off the shelf at CompUSA 1 year ago and they added an upgraded graphics card, but only 1 graphics card and my motherboard will not support 2 cards. What is the best way of integrating each one of my 3 additional TVs to my selection of monitors to use for remote computer access? What components, router, switches, cables etc will be needed? Drawings, illustrations?

hi im just wondering i wood like to get my first pc soon (im useing my brothers at the mo) and im not shure what to get now this is what i wood use it for id use it for my ipod and itunes also downloading from the net looking at youtube and ebay and a bit of wrighting and thats about it. i wont use it for games as i have a xbox 360 for that. also im not shure whether to go for a laptop or a normal pc mac thing is im a hgv driver so if i got a laptop i could take it in the cab with me but i have all my films on my ipod so after a few weeks i think it wood prob stay at home. iv been to pc world today and i realy do likle the look of the mac but im just worried that its not going to be abull to all the downloading and file converting for my ipod thats all. if i colud get some advice on whats good on pc and mac that wood be brill thanks all.....

I use a HP laptop and a Sony mouse (cos at the time HP mouse was out of stock), and often when I click something with the mouse, it double-clicks on its own... sometimes even when I click a program (say, Word) on the taskbar to minimise the window, the window will minimise and maximise immediately cos the mouse double-clicked.

Anyone else have this problem with their mouse?

I have a laptop, donated free (again) it works but the screen is smashed, thats why its a freebie... on boot-up it asks for the password at log on...also the setup in BIOS asks for the password....Brian, my mate "forgot" his password, he says he changed it that much he doesn't know whether he's coming or going.... I need (Je crois) a DOS prompt so I can look for pwl files... do I?

Alright, I'm thinking of getting a laptop. However, I have been hearing that these things completely DIE, and only takes like 3 years to achieve this. What the freak. Are you telling me if I spend $1000 on a laptop and take care of it for 3 years it would die and I would need to buy a new one? They don't tell you that in the commercials.

I always thought the battery dies and then you have to get a new battery. Please can someone with experience answer this.
