I installed8600 gt to my acerast180,workedgreatall daywithseveral bootups.Then hardwaredevice kickedon then toldme to restart.After that the power button has no light & only lthe fans work.Was I suppost do anything in the bios to make it work?I also installed 585w psu 3weeks ago and it was working well.I also disabled intergrated before I installed the card.I got a black sceen with no signal.What happened?? Work good all day untill hard ware dive kicked on then asked me to restart.Thankyou for your time.

I dont have any power at all I tried to take the card out and re installed psu that camewith it .still no power but the fans kick on when i plug it in with turning on power cant shut it down even using power button.worked great for awile untill hw device kicked on restared no sigle on screen

If you have another known, good power supply try substituting it to eliminate the possibility of power supply failure.

That particular cards needs lots of power. I sincerely doubt you have enough. If you can't plug the video card into a power source I'm afraid you can't use it. Check your power requirements versus what you actually have.

Hi,
i know it's a silly question but please recheck the new card is installed correctly (plugged into your MB slot) i think you have a connection problem on your card, your PS should be O.K and if you installed the correct version of software this should be O.K as well (it's been working O.K). hope this all helps you.
