I can tell you this. I love my Acer. I've taken it mountainbiking. I've busted pieces off of it at 30 mph. I've had it apart, had to resolder the power connector, and a few months ago, I finally killed the HD. It's been rained on, stepped on, and carried around by my dog. It's been a primary computer, an e-mail server, a Unreal Tournament 2004 server, and it's run six different operating systems. If you can afford it, get an Acer Ferrari. If you can't, it's probably okay to settle for those displayed here.

Stay away from the Intel Celeron CPU, the AMD CPU machines listed there are way faster.

That said, you have to decide for yourself, we don't know what your specific needs are.
