It must have atleast xp,dvd player/burner,and a good screen

i must also be able to make/edit movies(i got a webcam,so i dont need another),play music and pc game(causal if i really need to play games),internet,good ram and memory,and at least 3 usb cables.it must also not to be able to break when i drop it

There are several on the market today. If you can go to Circuit City and look at what they have. They carry most major brands and you can have a hands on. The makers web sites have a complete list of their products and specs as well.

You can try Gateway M-6823.Intel Core 2 Duo T5250 , 15 inch.It is $700 instead of $849.

I highly recommend an HP. I bought mine for $799, it meets all your requirements, and I love it! Shop around (Best buy, staples, circuit city, online) and find the best deal. One cautionary bit of advise: NO DELLS!

Dell will hook you up. Customize your Laptop to how you want it it will be under 900 probly.

go to dell.com or hp, and you can build your own options for your computer, and you can get a nice one for under $900.
