what settings should i have under the 'rip' tab on windows media player for the fastest speed at ripping?

i had windows media player on my desktop computer, and it ripped cds really fast. i have a new laptop and it rips cd super slowly...i was wondering what settings i should have checked off/selected for the fastest speed of ripping?

RTFM, the specs for your laptop's burner are in the User Manual.

Use them to configure WMP, if "no change", call your PC's tech support line, it may be a defective CD / DVD drive.
