I found a good deal for an Athlon 6000 system. However, it comes with a low end M/B ( ASUS M2N-MX SE ). Would it be pointless to add a video card (ATI ASUS Radeon EAX1550 TD 256MB TV-OUT DVI).

when i turn my pc on it just boots everything over and over clicking from floopy and cd rom no screen, hard drive works to anther pc sam kind can I add one to my pci how do i get the drivers for that

I had to replace my compaq tower with an HP tower, but can't get my GeForce Fx5200 video card to even be detected (yeah I know its not a great card, but I'm poor). Do they just not work with HP's? Its an HP Pavilion a1210n tower. Anyone know?

Hi, i'm buying used computer, it has a AMD processor, to be exact, AMD Athlon 2500+ XP (mobile). My dad is telling me that u should get a pc with an Intel processor instead. Whats the different between both, will the performance be affected?

I have a 20'' TFT which has a maximum
refresh rate of 60Hz.
I'm also using Ubuntu Linux where unfortunately I cannot set the refresh rate under 75Hz..
Is it potentially dangerous to operate my screen in such a refresh rate?

my son hit some keys on the keyboard, and now my taskbar is vertical on the right side of my monitor instead of horizontally on the bottom. its driving me crazy...ive tried everything i know how to get it to go back, but nothing is working. i goto properties for the taskbar and nothing is there that will help. anyone know how to fix this??? best answer to someone who will help me. tks!

I have a laptop, toshiba satelitte, and the screen got messed up. So I got a monitor to plug in to the laptop and it works great. Now, when I try to watch a movie that I downloaded from a bit torrent client I cannot see it on the monitor. I can se it on the laptops own screen but like I said it is meesed up so there is no way of actually seeing the movie but just a little piece of it. Why will it show on the laptop screen and not on the monitor that isplugged into it? And how would I fix it?

I have no problem being able to do one at a time, and have got them both to work separtley, but I cant get them to work at the same time. I realize that video is going to be crappy on the s-video out, but I plan on just using that to watch video.

The Motherboards are both Socket 478 but I want to know if they are compatible and I can simply switch out the processors and they will both work.

The Compaq EVO has a Pentium 4 1.90 ghz
The HP D530 has a Pentium 4 2.60 ghz (2 CPUs)

I am assuming the D530 is a Dual Core since it says that at the end and there is only 1 CPU chip inside.

Can I switch both of them out and have both still work?

I have acer model # t180 running windows vista. I currently have to 2gb memory ram running. But my computer doesn't recongize 3gb nor 4gb of ram when i try to upgrade it. All the memory is the same brand and hertz and i tested all memory all work fine. I have 4 sticks of 1 gb ddr2 kingston and my computer have four slots. Anybody have any ideas? For some reason Windows thinks I have to reformat my second hard drive. Out of the blue it can't read it so it quickly wants to reformat it. I know doing so will erase everything....I know for a fact that untouched data is still there and can be recovered. My computer just needs a way to recognize it.....Windows can't do it....how can I save my HDD? I tried everything windows has to offer, but every program wants to reformat it.....I just need my computer to recognize it. The HDD is good, there is just an error somewhere. This happened to me once, but eventually solved it self.....I WILL NOT reformat, I just need a solution.
