system restore problem?

i went in to system restore today as i needed to get rid of something i installed on my IM from google, and now i can't get back into restore at all, and the volume in my tray bar is showing 0 sound, i can't get it back, and why can i not get back into system restore. i am windows vista. help please

Hi. System Restore would not have fixed that problem anyway. Try to boot into safe mode. Then try another System Restore from there.
