I have a laptop, toshiba satelitte, and the screen got messed up. So I got a monitor to plug in to the laptop and it works great. Now, when I try to watch a movie that I downloaded from a bit torrent client I cannot see it on the monitor. I can se it on the laptops own screen but like I said it is meesed up so there is no way of actually seeing the movie but just a little piece of it. Why will it show on the laptop screen and not on the monitor that isplugged into it? And how would I fix it?

I dont think I can just drag the window from one screen to the other. They both run, I guess "in syncronization" so to speak. The movie window also pops up in the external monitor but the only difference is that the picture dosnt show on the external one. Thanks

If you have a dual monitor setup, you might want to try to dragging the video window over to the other monitor. Or on the monitor that you have plugged into it, you can try right clicking on desktop, choosing properties, and making the new monitor the "default" or main monitor, essentially forcing all windows and even the taskbar over to the new monitor.

I think this is a Direct-X 'feature'.

Try making the external monitor the primary display.
